Book Review: Dirty Bad Wrong (Dirty Bad #1) - Jade West

Lydia Marsh was the project manager of Trial Run Software Group. She thought her life was all together. That is until she found her boyfriend cheated on her and left him leaving her homeless. With nowhere to go, Lydia showed up at her office dragging her suitcase behind her. Lydia’s new home brought her into a different world. A night out with the roommate and her playmate, Lydia entered a BDSM club. Masque was performing at the club and Lydia was so mesmerized with him that she was determined to prove that she could handle everything he gave. James Clarke is the CTO of the company with a dark mysterious side. With a past that could change how people look at him and his job, James put on a mask and unleashes the beast at the club. James gets satisfaction from breaking his submissive to the point of tears. When you think it is going to be a happily ever after, there is a twist thrown in. Can Lydia and James overcome everything and get their happy ever after? Dirty Bad Wrong is the perfect title for this book. I anticipated reading a BDSM book however I did not anticipate the feelings this book evoked. There were several points in the book that I wanted to scream at the characters and the next moment wanted to cry with them. If I was reading this on paperback, I would have thrown the book across the room. This happened multiple times throughout the book. It takes a unique author to capture and bring your emotions to the surface. J. Ward did a fantastic job of this! The book gives you a good look at the BSDM world. My favorite part of the book was when Lydia found out the identity of Masque. You could feel what was happening in the story bringing the story to life for you. There were a few “ewww” scenes for me however that didn’t change the way I felt about the book. I just overlooked it as it is not my cup of tea but it could be someone else’s turn on. I would have liked to know more about Katreya. She was mentioned a few times in the story and was a hard spot for James. This book is just as the title states – dirty, bad and all kinds of wrong. Once I started reading, I had a hard time putting the book down. It will suck you in and keep you turning the pages. If you are squeamish and unable to handle reading about the pain that is afflicted during scenes or other hardcore sexual elements of BDSM, then this book is not for you. Please take heed to the warning in the front of the book – they are there for a reason. Amazon: http://amzn.to/1oziwjH
