Book Review: Redeeming Rhys - Mary E Palmerin

Redeeming Rhys is a twisted dark read. The book will take you out of your comfort zone. You will see what it is like in the mind of a twisted disturbed individual. Rhys is violent, murderous and full of rage and hate however when it comes to Wren he loves her in the only way he knows how. Both Rhys and Wren had horrible childhood experiences and both wanted to be normal. Rhys takes his pain out on others while Wren hides her pain deep inside. Just when you think you have it all figured out, BAM there is a huge twist to the story. I was not anticipating the twist at all. If you still question why Wren and Rhys are the way they are, I feel the twist helped explained it. If you are squeamish and unable to handle reading about the pain that someone is going through, then this book is not for you. Please take heed to the warning in the front of the book – they are there for a reason. Mary Palmerin’s writing is unique and will pull you in and keep a hold of you from the beginning to the end. She has a way of making you feel what the character is going through in his mind and actions. The writing is good and the editing is near flawless. If you can handle uncomfortable dark reads, you do not want to miss this one. Each book I read by M. Palmerin makes me more and more of a fan. Even though the books are sickening and make you squirm, I love them!
