Book Review: Montana Sky: Slater’s Bride (Kindle World) - Patricia Thayer
After visiting her mom, Letty had to find her brother. Alone she travels to Morgan’s Crossing in search of her brother, Johnny. She must get to her brother and persuade him to help their mother. Time is of the essence and Letty does not want to waste a minute. In her travels, Letty meets Paul who can take her to her brother. Living in a girl’s home for years, Letty has not been around boys. Her attraction to Paul is strong but she must put her father’s company first along with saving her mother.
Paul is tired from his journey and is heading back to his ranch. He hopes that his business partner has been able to handle the ranch with the bad weather. On his travels back home, Paul meets Letty. Once he finds out that she is his partner’s sister, he feels he has no choice but to get her to the ranch. He is attracted to Letty but keeps telling himself that she is off limits.
To help save the family company, Johnny must claim his rightful place in the company and Letty would need to marry and give her shares over to Johnny. Paul steps up and offers to marry Letty, in name only, to help out his friend and the family.
Will Johnny let the past go to help their mother? Will Letty and Paul finally give in to their desire and make it a real marriage?
I loved this sweet story of two people that come from separate worlds and find an instant attraction. They don’t immediately fall in love as it builds up in time. The story was well written as you can feel the character’s emotions jumping off the pages. Sometimes you want to reach in and strangle them when they are hard headed yet you want to hug them when they are hurting. It is a very inspiring story that love can come to those that let it when they least expect it.
It was such a fun and easy read that I can’t wait to see what is next from the series.
