Hayden’s mom was the housekeeper for Griff Sutherland’s family but that didn’t stop them from pursuing a relationship. After Griff told Hayden he was leaving and was not taking her with him, Hayden completed her degree and went to work for his dad as his personal assistant. One assignment that she was given was to deliver a note to Griff that would have him running back home. To save his promise to a special little girl, Griff agreed to stay in Texas for 2 weeks however one of his stipulations was that Hayden was to be his personal assistant, after all he still had a business to run. The connection that was once there for Hayden and Griff was still there with electric currents running rampant when they are near each other. Griff had to prove many things to Hayden including that he was not going to let her go and leave her behind again.
I was intrigued with the first book and wanted to keep on reading however I seemed to lose interest the more I read. While some of the books were good some were simply okay. Some of the characters were well developed and you were able to connect with them but the majority I was not able to connect with. Overall the book set was not a bad read but like all book sets there were just a few books in it that I had a hard time getting through. I liked that the stories all connected to the same family but I think I would have seen more connection if they would have connected closer; not just by being in the same family somehow.
