My Thoughts:
I thought the premise was unique and the writing was good. It shows that you can set your mind on one thing but the heart can guide you in a different direction. The story was believable with a few twists thrown in to keep it interesting and entertaining. There is still good in people no matter how they feel or what happens to them.
The book was filled with a detail and background history which helps you to connect to the characters. I felt for the hardships the characters had to go through and was happy when they had joy and happy time. I feel this book was a big step up from the first one and was a much more believable and enjoyable read. I immediately began reading the third book.
