My Thoughts:
In high school Jordan and Chase met the love of their lives, their soulmate.
Unfortunately, Chase’s father had other ideas about his future. Chase was to become a famous football and play in the NFL and nothing was to get in his way of accomplishing this goal. That included Jordan. For 10 years Chase has played football but Jordan was never out of his mind.
After having her heartbroken, Jordan got her degree and became a successful businesswoman and CEO of her grandfather’s company. In the 10 years since her breakup with Chase, Jordan has not been able to find anyone that can compare to him. She doesn’t find a connection with them the way that she had with Chase. When she gets the fateful call from Chase’s mom begging her to come visit Chase Jordan’s world is turned upside down.
Riann Miller created an outstanding novel that has you believing in love. The old saying that if you set something free and it comes back it is meant to be is real. No matter what Jordan and Chase went through they were connected though their hearts and souls. I couldn’t put the book down once I started reading. It was captivating and intriguing.
The premise was unique and the writing was solid. Everyone believes the main characters will get their happily-ever-after however for a minute there I started wondering if it wasn’t going to happen for Jordan and Chase. There were a few times throughout the book that I really wanted to reach through the pages and strangle Chase with his choices. He thought his choices were protecting Jordan, however he didn't realize until too late he was actually breaking her heart once again. This was an original and action packed read. This was my first read by this author and it was superb.
I hope that this will become a series and we can see more of the characters and find out what happens to Lacey and Jake.
