Book Review: A Troubled Friendship (Mail Order Brides Book 7) - Annie Boone

Synopsis:

Who is Rosalie Collins? Will Graham Barrett ever get to meet her since he's fallen in love with her? A scheme that seemed harmless at first causes hearts to be on the line for two lifelong friends. In an effort to pull Abigail out of her depression, Fiona cooks up a plan to write to a lonely rancher in Crystal Lake, Wyoming. They have no idea that this plot will have unintended consequences. Graham Barrett is searching for a wife and he has some very specific requirements. He believes Rosalie Collins meets them all. But in his quest for the perfect wife, he finds that he may have been taken advantage of. Before he turns the table on the two women involved in the plot, he decides to see if either one of them could possibly be the Rosalie he so desperately wants. As he learns more about the two women who are competing to win his heart, he learns about himself. Find out how Rosalie fits into this story and how Graham finally finds her as he opens his heart to reality and understanding. A Troubled Friendship is the seventh in a series of Mail Order Brides short stories from Annie Boone. Annie writes clean, Christian romance.

My Thoughts:

A Troubled Friendship is a clean sweet romance. It tells the story of a woman that starts to fall for a groom through the mail order after her friend talked her into writing to help her overcome her depression. However, when they meet the intended in person, the friend decides that he is good looking and she deserves to have him instead.

The book is a quick read with likable characters that find happiness while learning deception and scheming is not the way. This book was very heartwarming. I like the writing style of the author with the unique plots and very few if any mistakes (spelling errors, etc) in the book.

If you are looking for a short sweet romance, then this is a book/series that you would probably enjoy.
