Book Review: Wyoming Wedding (Culpepper Cowboys Book 1) by Kirsten Osbourne

Synopsis:

Karlan Culpepper has worked his entire adult life, and most of his youth, to build up the ranch he knew he would someday inherit. When his grandfather dies, and the terms of his inheritance include he and his three brothers marrying within six months, and at least one of them having a baby on the way within the year, things get trickier. Contacting Dr. Lachele Simpson, a professional matchmaker, seemed the only way to go!

Hope, the oldest of the Quinlan Quadruplets needs nothing more than to get out from under her parents’ roof, and take her sisters with her. She feels stifled, and she wants more than anything to marry. After a long weekend of testing, the four sisters embark on a road trip that would change their lives. Hope quickly agrees to marry Karlan, one of the four brothers waiting for her and her sisters in Wyoming. Will they be able to make their marriage work? Or should they have waited to get to know one another a little better like all their siblings had?

My Rating: ★★★

My Thoughts:

The story was about four brothers that had to find brides and one of the brides must get pregnant to fulfill the requirements of the brothers’ grandfather’s will. If they don’t fulfill the requirements, then they lose the ranch that has been in their family for years.

This was a sweet short read. It was a cute story however I wish it would have been longer and delved into the relationship more. Karlan and Hope met and got married and then had problems however I would have liked to see more develop between them and seen their feelings grow slowly and deeply. The name for the man’s part cracked me up however it threw off the story because I can’t see a grown man or woman using the word “ding a ling” however the different ways that he came up with to say having sex was funny. It showed that he had a humorous side to him.

Overall, I think the story was good and could be even better if it was longer and developed more. I really would like to see more on the characters and delve into their relationships more, the good and the bad.
