Book Review: Cherished (Cutter's Creek, Book 9) - Vivi Holt
Synopsis:
Camilla Brown always wanted a family of her own. But it seemed destiny had other plans. She’d begun to feel as though she'd always be in the background, helping others build their families, leaving her dreams to wilt and die.
That is, until the handsome Winston Frank comes courting at the church picnic. But then, Sheriff Clifford Brentwood sweeps her off her feet, literally! Both men make her pulse race. Both are determined to claim her love. Only one can win her heart. When an unexpected danger threatens her very life, Camilla will have to make a choice. Who will she choose?
My Rating: ★★★★★
My Thoughts:
Emotional. Heartfelt. Sweet romance.
Cherished is another great story with realistic characters that make you feel that you are right there with them and their friends. Camilla has to make a choice between two gentlemen – one who is comfortable and familiar or another who her heart tugs for. Watching the way that Camilla goes through the courting process and trying to figure out her heart made for an interesting story. The more I saw the attitude from Winston the more I didn’t like him and the more I wanted to see her get with the sheriff, Clifford. Clifford seemed to be more about others and their feelings while putting what he wanted to the side. He was such a likeable character from the very beginning.
This book had a few twists and turns that I was not expecting. It was a very enjoyable read. Vivi Holt never disappoints in her writing and the amazing books that she has published. V. Holt has a gift for writing intriguing and entertaining stories. If you are looking for a good series than Cutter’s Creek is a great place to start.
