Book: Fighting For A Chance (The Chasing Series Book 4)

Author: Linda Oaks

My Rating: ★★★★

Synopsis:

It all began with a secret. A cross of paths that altered a life. Iris Malone had a plan of revenge. She searched for the man known as “The Savage.” Chance Logan was one of the most promising heavyweight contenders on the planet. Her plan was simple, to make a savage fall to his knees. She would break his heart like he’d broken so many countless others before her. But sometimes even the best laid plans can begin to unravel. What happens when you fall for the enemy? When you’re in danger of losing your heart to the man you promised to make suffer? When lines are crossed, and it’s too late to turn back, you have no choice but to live with the decisions you make. Will Iris’s plan for revenge ruin the chance at a love of a lifetime? Will she fight for a chance to love a savage or will she lose everything when the truth is finally revealed? Someone was going down. Someone would pay. Do you care to place your bets as to who will be standing at the end of the final round?

My Thoughts:

A heartwarming, emotional and unique love story!

Chance is your normal player. He gets knocked off his feet by a beautiful woman and fought against himself because he didn’t want to be tied down. Yet he couldn’t resist as his feelings grew stronger. Iris has some secrets that has her fighting against what she wants, Chance. She is set on revenge yet her heart is wanting the bad boy. Iris is not afraid of hard work and will protect her loved ones with everything she has. Although cautious, Iris still wants what all women want – a great guy that will cherish her and protect her with everything they have. Does love when out or will Chance and Iris give up on what their hearts are pulling for?

I had a hard time staying focused on the book yet I couldn’t put the book down. I needed to know what was going to happen with Chance and Iris. There was a past that Iris kept hinting at yet you don’t find out what till closer to the end of the book. You can almost guess but you don’t expect it all. I thought there was a nice twist at the end of the book with Iris.

I thought the author did a great job of setting the story and creating a unique reading experience. I didn’t feel that I was reading another book with just different names and places. The book was one of a kind with your happily ever after ending that we come to expect. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes a unique romance story with a few twist and surprises.
