IN Defiance tells a story of Ivy Nash, who lived her life in one abusive foster home after another. She now works as a case worker to protect children so that they don’t have to go through what she did. This story tells of real life happenings to children in today’s time. While trying to protect a child, Ivy gets caught up in a real murder and becomes stalked and threatened.
IN Defiance was an extremely well written story with strong characters and incredible twist and turns. It was easy to read and follow with a unique plot. There is a lot of action and suspense to grab your attention from beginning to end. The characters are well developed and engaging. You will feel all types of emotions while reading – sadness, hopefulness, laughter, and happiness.
This was the first book that I have read by John W Mefford and will definitely not be my last. I was not disappointed at all. I recommend John W Mefford to anyone that wants to read a great mystery/suspense/thriller that will keep you guessing all the way through while sitting on the edge of your seat.
