Genre: Historical Romance – Western

Book: Christmas in Clover Springs (Clover Springs Mail Order Brides Book 8)

Author: Rachel Wesson

My Rating: ★★★★★

Synopsis:

Alicia Carstairs had it all—or so she thought. Financially secure, well brought up, engaged to a prominent young man. So why was she on a train headed west in the hopes of securing a position as a governess? Aaron Higgins thought he was happy until all his friends, his brother and now Little Beaver, too, were married and having children. He wrote to Mrs. Gantley, asking for a bride. Miss Carstairs ends up in Clover Springs, offending everyone—most of all, Aaron. He wants to put her on the next train out of town. Or does he?

My Thoughts:

Christmas in Clover Springs continues the journey of the characters that we have come to think of as family. The characters are well developed with a strong story line that is exciting. Even though this is part of a series, the story line is fresh and mingles characters from previous books so you feel like the story continues where it left off. The plot moves along at a good pace. This is a sweet and touching story that will captivate you and keep your attention from the beginning to the end.

Rachel Wesson is one of my favorite authors. I know that when I pick up one of her books that I will be getting an enjoyable and pleasant book. Every book in the Clover Springs series has been fantastic and this book is no exception. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a heartwarming western historical romance. This book is part of a series however it can be read truly as a stand-a-lone. If you are looking for a good series than Clover Springs is a great place to start.
