Book: His Mail-Order Valentine (Holiday Mail Order Brides Book 10)

Author: Kit Morgan

Narrator: Michael Rahhal

My Rating: ★★★★★

Synopsis:

Someone in Independence is sending off for mail-order brides and they’ve struck again! This time Julian Smythe is the culprit’s latest victim, and naturally, he hasn’t a clue. Throw in the antics of Mercy, Martha, Maude, and their newest partner in crime, Mahulda, and you’ve got enough chaos to drive any mail-order bride crazy. And that’s exactly what the four matrons do! Ellie Sampson came to Independence to get married, but no sooner does she get off the stage, she’s snatched up by the four and thrown into the position of a maid in the Vander household! Shocked to discover her husband-to-be had no idea she was coming, she’s even more shocked to discover she’s falling in love with not only him, but the town as well. But a secret she holds could bring everything tumbling down, and any chance at happiness would be gone in an instant. What should Ellie do?

My Thoughts:

A heartwarming mail order bride romance!

His Mail-Order Valentine continues the journey of many characters that we have come to know in the Holiday Mail Order Bride series. The characters are entertaining and well developed. The story line is fresh and mingles characters from previous books so you feel like the story continues where it left off. The plot moves along at a good pace. This is a sweet and delightful story that will captivate you and keep your attention from the beginning to the end.

Michael Rahhal did a fantastic job on the narration. He really brought the characters to life. He did a great job with the different accents, especially the Irish accent. Sometimes his impersonations made me giggle. I had to laugh every single time he said “uhh huh”. You can hear the passion in his performance with the concise and clear speech while adding depth to the story.

Kit Morgan is one of my favorite authors. I know that when I pick up one of her books that I won’t be disappointed. Even though this is part of a series, each book can be read as a stand-alone. I have read/listened to each book back to back. If you are looking for a good mail order bride series to start, then I recommend to start with the Holiday Mail Order Bride series. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a heartwarming mail order bride romance.
